A New Chapter for D-S-Design Studio

Celebrating two years in business and entering an exciting new chapter.

Daniel Sherlock collecting his Creative Design Studio of the Year award as D-S-Design Studio enters a new chapter in Shaftesbury.

A New Chapter for D-S-Design Studio

Today marks two years of D-S-Design Studio.

What started as a small step into self-employment has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. As I enter my third year in business, this moment feels like more than just an anniversary. It feels like the beginning of a new chapter.

Recently, I also moved house, creating a brand new studio space to work from. A fresh environment, a clearer head, and a renewed focus going forward.

While a lot has changed, one thing hasn’t β€” D-S-Design Studio is still proudly based in Shaftesbury, Dorset.

‍

‍

‍

Still Proudly Based in Shaftesbury

Shaftesbury has always been at the heart of the business.

Over the past two years, I’ve worked with a wide range of businesses across Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. From creatives and independent brands to trades and growing local companies, every project has helped shape where the studio is today.

Supporting local businesses has always been one of my biggest motivations.

There are so many brilliant businesses locally that deserve websites and branding that properly reflect the quality of what they do. Too often, I see businesses being held back by outdated websites, unclear messaging or a lack of visibility online.

Helping solve those problems is exactly why D-S-Design Studio exists.

‍

Two Years of Growth

Looking back, the past two years have been a period of steady growth.

Not just in terms of clients, but in experience, confidence and clarity in how I work. Every project has helped refine the process, improve the quality of work and strengthen the direction of the studio.

From early projects to more recent work, the focus has always remained the same β€” creating websites that are clear, professional and genuinely useful for businesses.

‍

Entering a New Era

Moving into year three feels different.

There’s a stronger sense of direction, a clearer service offering and a deeper understanding of what businesses actually need from their websites.

Over the past year, I’ve refined my services, strengthened SEO strategy and improved the structure behind every project. The aim has been to make the entire process smoother, clearer and more effective for clients.

At D-S-Design Studio, every website is built around three key principles:

Clarity β€” visitors should immediately understand what your business does

Structure β€” websites should be easy to navigate for both users and search engines

Conversion β€” the design should guide visitors towards making an enquiry

Supporting Businesses Across Dorset

Being based in Shaftesbury allows me to stay closely connected to the local business community.

Many of my clients rely on their website as their main source of enquiries. When designed properly, a website becomes more than just an online presence. It becomes a tool that supports growth, builds trust and helps businesses stand out.

That’s exactly what I aim to deliver with every project.

‍

Looking Ahead

Reaching the two-year mark feels like the perfect time to reflect, but also to look forward.

Year three is about building on everything that’s been developed so far and continuing to improve.

The focus remains on:

Strategic website design for small businesses

Strong branding and visual identity

SEO foundations that support long-term visibility

Clear, structured websites that generate enquiries

The goal is simple β€” to help businesses show up online with confidence and clarity.
