Shaftesbury Rotary Club is a long-established community organisation dedicated to supporting local initiatives, events, and charitable causes throughout Shaftesbury and the surrounding areas.

Having looked after and maintained their previous WordPress website for over two years, the project evolved into a complete redesign and migration to Webflow, creating a more modern, flexible, and future-ready platform that better supports the club and its growing digital presence.

While the existing website had served the club well, it had become increasingly difficult to manage and lacked the flexibility needed for regular updates and future expansion.

The new platform needed to:

• Modernise the club’s online presence

• Make content easier to manage

• Improve navigation and accessibility

• Better showcase events, projects, and community initiatives

• Provide a foundation for future developments, including a new Shaftesbury community directory

I redesigned and rebuilt the website entirely in Webflow, creating a cleaner, more intuitive experience for both visitors and administrators.

The project included:

• A complete website redesign and migration from WordPress to Webflow

• A fully integrated CMS for easy content management

• Improved navigation and page structure

• Mobile-responsive layouts across all devices

• Better presentation of events, news, and community projects

• SEO foundations to improve discoverability

• Future-ready infrastructure to support the upcoming Shaftesbury Directory

The new CMS allows Rotary members to manage content more efficiently while reducing the complexity often associated with older website platforms.
