I’m Dan, a web and graphic designer based in Shaftesbury, Dorset, creating clean, creative and user-friendly design for local and regional businesses. Through D-S-Design Studio, I help brands stand out with bespoke websites, branding and social media design that blend clarity, creativity and meaningful connection.
I started designing at 16 — completely self-taught — and turned a small passion project into a full-time career built on curiosity and collaboration. After returning to Shaftesbury, I launched D-S-Design Studio to help small businesses and creatives tell their stories online with style and purpose. Over the years, I’ve partnered with clients across Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire, designing websites and brands that feel both personal and professional.

I’m based in Shaftesbury, Dorset, and work with clients across Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire — as well as further afield in the UK. Most projects start with an online meeting, so location never limits creativity or communication.
I collaborate with a wide mix of clients — from independent trades and creatives to established local organisations and hospitality brands. Whether you’re a start-up or a long-standing business, I tailor every project to suit your goals, audience, and budget.
D-S-Design Studio is a freelance design studio, run solely by me, but with the same professionalism and structure you’d expect from an agency. You’ll always work directly with me from first concept to final delivery — no handovers or middlemen.
Both refer to the same business. I officially trade as D-S-Design, but I use D-S-Design Studio across my branding and online platforms to better reflect the full range of services I offer. Whether you see D-S-Design or D-S-Design Studio, it’s all me — the same studio, same work, and same level of care.
My focus is on clarity, creativity, and connection. I take time to understand your business, your story, and what makes you unique — then design something that feels genuinely you. My work blends clean, modern visuals with local insight and long-term support.
Not at all! Alongside web design, I offer branding, graphic design for print, social media management, and website maintenance plans. Many clients start with a website and continue with ongoing design support to keep everything cohesive and professional.
