1️⃣ Project Overview
Its Cormac is a music-led personal brand requiring a strong, polished digital presence to support promotion, storytelling, and audience engagement.
The project focused on refining and improving an existing website to better reflect Cormac’s identity, enhance clarity, and create a smoother, more intentional user journey across all devices.
2️⃣ The Challenge
While the original website had strong foundations, several areas needed refinement to improve flow, consistency, and visual balance.
Key challenges included tightening layout spacing, correcting alignment inconsistencies, refining content presentation, and ensuring the site felt cohesive and professional—without over-designing or losing character.
3️⃣ The Solution
I carried out a careful, detail-led refinement pass , focusing on precision rather than redesign.
Updates included:
All changes were made with performance, usability, and visual balance in mind, keeping the site true to Cormac’s brand while elevating its overall polish.
- refining layout spacing for smoother visual flow
- correcting global alignment inconsistencies
- improving content hierarchy for clarity and readability
- optimising the featured video section placement so it complements, rather than distracts from, the content
- ensuring consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile views
4️⃣ The Result
The updated website now feels cleaner, more intentional, and more confident .
The refined structure improves how visitors engage with the content, while subtle layout adjustments enhance professionalism without losing personality.
The site is now better positioned as a central hub for Cormac’s work, supporting promotion, discovery, and future growth.
This project demonstrates the value of a Website MOT-style refinement when a site already has the right overall direction. Rather than replacing working elements, targeted improvements to spacing, hierarchy, responsive behaviour and presentation can create a noticeably more polished experience while retaining the original identity.
