La Fleur de Lys is a boutique hotel and award-winning restaurant located in the heart of Shaftesbury, Dorset.
The owners approached D-S-Design Studio to refresh their website, aiming for something that reflected the warmth and refinement of the venue while improving usability and booking functionality.
2️⃣ The Challenge
The previous site felt outdated and wasn’t optimised for mobile users or search engines. It also lacked a clear structure for showcasing rooms, menus, and awards. The goal was to create a digital experience that felt as welcoming and polished as their hospitality.

I designed a refined, inviting website using rich tones, elegant typography, and atmospheric imagery to capture the essence of La Fleur de Lys.
Navigation was simplified, guiding visitors through accommodation, dining, and booking sections with ease. The site was rebuilt in Webflow with full CMS integration, enabling the team to update menus, offers, and room details effortlessly. On-page SEO and mobile optimisation improved local search rankings for boutique hotel Shaftesbury and fine dining Dorset.

The new website now provides a seamless user journey that enhances both restaurant and accommodation bookings. It strengthens La Fleur de Lys’ online presence, reflecting their reputation for excellence and offering guests a beautiful, accessible way to plan their visit.
