My Alfred News interview covering D-S-Design Studio’s Prestige Award win and what’s next for 2026.

On 16th October 2025, I was interviewed once again by Alfred News — this time to talk about one of my proudest milestones to date: winning the Prestige Award for Creative Design Studio of the Year (Dorset) 🏆
This recognition means a huge amount to me. It celebrates not just creative output, but consistency, care, and the community-focused approach that underpins everything I do at D-S-Design Studio.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of local businesses — from interior designers and restaurants to therapists, artists and tradespeople — helping each one strengthen their online presence through bespoke website design, branding and digital support.
During the Alfred News interview, I spoke about what this award represents and why it feels like an important step forward for the studio.
It was also a moment to reflect on the journey so far, particularly after receiving the Shaftesbury Chamberpot Award earlier in the year. Both milestones marked key moments of growth — not just professionally, but personally — and reinforced how vital local support has been throughout the process.
Building D-S-Design Studio has never been about chasing scale for the sake of it. It’s about doing good work, building trust, and supporting businesses properly as they grow.
While D-S-Design Studio now works with clients across Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, Shaftesbury will always be home.
The local creative community has played a huge role in shaping how I work — collaborative, personal and grounded. As the studio continues to grow regionally, that ethos remains central.
My focus is on supporting businesses who value thoughtful design, clear communication and long-term collaboration — whether they’re local to Shaftesbury or elsewhere in the South West 🌍
The Alfred News feature and interview are also available through their platform, sharing more detail about the journey behind the award.
I’m incredibly grateful to Alfred News for continuing to share my story, and to every client, collaborator and supporter who has trusted D-S-Design Studio along the way.
This award has only strengthened my commitment to delivering clear, considered design that genuinely supports businesses — from websites and branding to ongoing digital care.
Here’s to continuing to grow, create and champion local design excellence — and to even bigger things ahead ✨
If you’d like to work with an award-winning web designer based in Shaftesbury, I’d love to hear from you.
